It has been decided! Ilm Path Academy has adopted an award winning logo. We have launched a worldwide competition for designing our Academy's logo. More than 200 logos were submitted by some of the best logo designers in the world in a span of one week. The logo was designed to represent the values of Ilm Path Academy and its vision of bringing the Muslim Nation on top of every single field in life in order to acheive the highest level in paradise. This type of competition only demonstrates how Ilm Path is trying to acheive perfection and attention to detail in every single issue related to Islamic Education and Life Skills. We will explain the idea behind the winning logo, and then will follow with a sample of runner-up bids of Ilm Path logos.
The winning logo, pictured on the right, represents the values of Ilm Path, joined together in a single beautiful image. The following are the seven elements of the Ilm Path Logo and how they represent our values:
The Road: The road represents the path of seeking knowledge that every Muslim must take, as stated by the Prophet peace be upon him "Whoever takes a path of seeking knowledge, Allah will ease a path for him leading to Paradise" (Tirmidhi: 2646)
The Book: A representation of knowledge and reliance on authentic sources, the book is how knowledge has been recorded and transmitted to us through thousands of years. All Muslims are ordered to live by the book. Ilm Path designs all its courses based on only the most authentic sources.
The Tree: It grows out of the seeds we plant by educating our students with knowledge of Islamic Studies and Life Skills. We want to see that tree grow by the day, with no limit to its height. The five leafs represent the five pillars of Islam, which is the cornerstone of every Muslim's life.
The Globe: Represents the worldwide reach of Ilm Path, where we strive to educate students around the world with the best type of knowledge a person could get. The globe also shows the side of North America, where Ilm Path Academy is currently based.
The Ring: The Ring surrounding the globe represents how we plan to reach every student of knowledge around the world, and this is by using cutting-edge online education technology.
The Moon: The crescent has been historically used to represent Islam, despite Islam never encouraging symbolism. The crescent surrounds the logo like a boundary, and represents the boundaries of Islam that controlls all of our work and values.
The Sun: The shinning sun rising at the top left corner of the globe represents the light of Muslims shinning again, after several centuries of a nighttime, the sun of Islam is rising again to light the world with mercy and knowledge.
We ask Allah to help us live by these values and to make our vision come true. We would also like to share some of the logos submitted in the competition, to demonstrate the ammount of effort that was done in order to come up with an award winning logo. Enjoy!
